M'rt'n discovered his passion for art when he was 14 years. Comics, pop art, surrealism & fantasy art fascinated him. After the first few years of self-taught works he expanded his skills in the field of graphics & illustration by studying at the Design University Munster. Since his studies he has continued his art work alongside his full-time job as an art-director. The theme of his work is his subjective, spiritual & emotional reality, which merges into inner world as a sum of his own memories & experiences. A key element of his work is the concentration on a line, which in its powerful simplicity gives him access to surprising pictorial constellations.
